Georgia on my mind!

Well, we have made it back to Georgia! We packed up our stuff in a big ole U-haul drove it cross country, put all our stuff in storage, flew back to Colorado for our house closing (that didn't happen), drove our other car up to Michigan for Christmas, and then drove back down to Atlanta. Whew! That was a lot of time in the car, 60+ hours to be exact! And let me just tell you it wasn't the most fun experience being pregnant! As for our house in Colorado, we did eventually close on it. The buyers lost their loan financing 2 days before closing. Thankfully they were able to find another lender to give them a loan and were able to close 2 weeks later.

Right now we are living with my parents until we can find a house. We are anxious to find a house and get settled before baby Evelyn arrives in April! I will be working 1-2 days a week at the hospital on a neuro unit. I think this will work out well, especially after the baby arrives.

Baby Evelyn is doing well! We had a repeat ultrasound at 24 weeks because she didn't cooperate well at the first ultrasound :) Everything looked good and she was weighing in at 1 lb 12 ounces!! She is measuring about a week ahead. I can't believe that I will be 25 weeks tomorrow and that means only a short 15 weeks until she is here! I can't wait! :)

It's been a while!

Well, since it has been 6+ plus months since I have updated the blog I figured it was time! The most exciting change since I last blogged is that we are expecting! Baby Gwizdala is due April 24, 2010. I have felt really good so far and thankfully avoided all the morning sickness stuff! Yay! We will find out the gender in December.

We also have put our house on the market. We are planning on moving back to Atlanta sometime in the very near future. We love Colorado but we are SO far from our families and Jason and I really want our kids to grow up around family. So, we will see what happens!

Mexico!

Jason and I had a wonderful time in Mexico! We spent a lot of time relaxing by the pool and drinking yummy drinks. We also went on an awesome excursion to Coba. Coba is the only ruin left in Riveria Maya that you can still climb. We hiked to the top (120 steps) and it overlooked the jungle. It was awesome! We then got to zip line, repel, and swim in a cave. My favorite part by far was swimming in the cave, the water was so clear and blue! We also had a great time trying the different resturants at the resort. It was really hard to come back to daily life! I can't wait to go back one day.

Closing 2008, beginning 2009

I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas! Jason and I had a great time in Atlanta. It was good to see my parents and some old friends. We looked around at some houses while we were there just to get a feel for the area we would like to live in and the prices of homes. It is amazing how much cheaper houses are there compared to Colorado and how much more you can get for your money! Don't get me wrong, I like our house in Colorado but we could get an even bigger house with much more upgrades for quite a bit less! It really makes me want to move back :(
On another note, I cannot believe 2008 is almost over. It has been a very fast year! I am excited to see what 2009 has to bring! I hope everyone has a very blessed New Year!

Wow, it is so hard to believe that Christmas is next week! This holiday season has been very busy but very good. Jason and I enjoyed my company Christmas party and his as well. This is the first year that I have worked somewhere that actually does something for thier employees at Christmas unlike the hospital! It was very refreshing. We also baked and decorated some yummy sugar cookies yesterday. My most favorite Christmas tradition that I haved enjoyed since childhood is sleeping under the Christmas tree. Jason and I decided to carry on that tradition this year. Basically we just have yummy snacks, watch Christmas movies, and then sleep on a pallet under the tree! It may sound a little strange, but it is lots of fun and we look forward to passing the tradition on when we have children. We will be heading to Atlanta to spend Christmas with my parents on Tuesday. We hope that everyone has a joyous Christmas and blessed New Year!

Thanksgiving

Well, I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Jason and I decided to stay here in Colorado this year for Thanksgiving since we are traveling for Christmas. We relaxed and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade then we went over to our friend's house and had Thanksgiving dinner with them. Today,we got up at 4:15 am and headed to Wal-Mart to get a new tv. We got quite a bit of our Christmas shopping done which I am very excited about! Now we are focusing our attention on Christmas and all the craziness leading up to it!!

Finally!

So, Jason applied for a new position at work way back in July. Everytime he spoke with the manager to see if they were close to hiring someone for the position the guy would say,"just hang in there we will make a decision soon." Well, Jason FINALLY got a response on Monday and he got the job!! He will now be a "real" manager and have about 20 people under him. It will be great experince for him and will hopefully provide more job stablility for him. The best part is that he got clearance from his boss to relocate back to Atlanta. We won't move until next summer or next fall but I am very happy that moving back home is more of a reality now!
